"Chapter 7- Treasure Chest
"Are you okay?" Mrs. Nadolski asked, sounding concerned, but I couldn't respond. Circles, triangles, crosses, spirals and shapes I didn't recognize, written with the particles of dust motes, moved around the room mid-air. They hummed softly while they floated, stirring up the scent of chamomile and lavender I smelled before.
The shapes were everywhere. I breathed them in when I inhaled, and they played around my feet while I walked. They glowed as they twirled around me, extinguishing the anger I felt for Mike and Nick a little bit at a time.
The shapes coiled around me. Faster and faster. Was I going crazy? I blinked and when I looked again, they had vanished. I shook my head and sighed, relieved.
"Sorry. Yes, I'm fine. Just thought I saw something," I said when I found Mrs. Nadolski still waiting for me to answer her."
